Cos there's more to life than fashion (sometimes) and we're all about bigging up amazing talent, ASOS has created ASOS Supports Talent and teamed up with eight amazing, ambitious creatives to help turn their dreams into IRL projects.
Chicago-based documentary photographer Elizabeth De La Piedra (http://asos.do/5EFtKT) has always sought to tell intimate and honest narratives through her work – and, for her latest project, she uses her voice to give a platform to the ‘creative, strong and very brave’ Rashida Renée.
Rashida, a trans woman of colour, is living in an under-served community in California, and through her fashion blog has grabbed the attention of industry luminaries, such as Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio.
By producing a body of work which documents a week in Rashida’s life, Peruvian-born Elizabeth not only looks to profile her in an authentic way, but to also convey a wider message of acceptance and understanding.
